Automation of Merchandizing and Pre Selling Services

   In last August UPECO’s merchandizing service and allocated pre selling department, on the basis of our partner, NTS Gradient 2000 Company, applied in work the Optimum DP trade automation system, worked out by CDC Company. The program works on the basis of Pocket PC computers. 

   Now a trade representative coming to a sales outlet can swiftly combinate an order on PPC and send it to the company’s server. Operator has only to confirm the operation, and storage facility prepares ordered goods. Thanks to the introduction of automated systems the time of goods’ delivery considerably shortens. The program’s capabilities are not limited by acquisition and communication of information. The system allows to significantly augment the efficiency of sales and to lower expenses for extra personnel, servicing direct sellings. 

   Optimum DP gives big potentialities to UPECO’s merchandising department. Module “Merchandising” in the system has been substantially elaborated by UPECO’s IT department in cooperation with CDC Company. In the module’s content there appeared such notions as “ Per cent in a category”, “Place on a shelf”, “Correlation of colour scale” (for shoe care products) and many others. All these elaborations allow to collect information without a pile of papers and to process data swiftly and unattended, to amend departments’ activities on the basis of processed information. Quickness in decision-making process is a guarantee of success for any company functioning in contemporary business conditions.
